Chill Don't Kill is dedicated to eliminating violent crimes in at risk communities. We do that by targeting areas suffering the extremes of poverty and a lack of resources afforded to wealthy tax based communities. We intervene in the lives of the people with community service and charitable works to build a rapport with the residents we can use to leverage positive influence in their lives. 

We then identify those who are open to positive influence and expose them to our mentorship and training program. We are currently working to purchase a residential property we can use to provide training in drywall, paint, and basic home repair. These are skills that do not require a license and can translate into a livelihood for people to live with dignity. Our training program will also include lessons in marketing, good business practices, manners and etiquette. 

With these skills, the residents will have the ability to market their skills in community and earn an honest living. Which will prevent them from resorting to a life of crime to survive. Studies have shown a direct correlation between developing a skill and having a positive self image. People with a marketable skill are less likely to risk incarceration when they have a viable alternative. The building trades and entrepreneurship are the most common paths returning citizens take to rebuild their lives and avoid repeat offenses. Our training is designed to reduce recidivism. Which constitutes a large percentage of the crime taking place in at risk communities.
